Our learners embraced the joy of learning and the endless possibilities that Pi Day presents each year. Pi Day celebrations in PYP saw learners eagerly engaging in fun games and activities, watching videos, making Pi-themed charts, etc. Learners celebrated the mathematical constant π (Pi) and explored the significance of the day and the fascinating properties of Pi. They reflected on the importance of mathematics in our everyday lives and its role in understanding the world around us. These activities sparked lively discussions as our learners shared their insights and observations, deepening their appreciation for the beauty and complexity of mathematics. Learners also used circular objects and measuring tape to measure circumference and diameter to find Pi, a constant for all circular objects. They verified the same using an online calculator. Pi Day served as a reminder for our learners of the boundless possibilities for exploration and discovery that await those who embrace the wonders of mathematics.
